The Summer Exhibition | The Horton, Epsom

Thrilled to announce that my painting ‘Forest Breath‘ has been selected for this year’s Summer Exhibition at The Horton, Epsom.
My abstract painting, Forest Breath, explores the theme of transformation through the changing atmosphere within the landscape. The ominous sky and drifting mist initially create a sense of uncertainty and darkness. However, as light emerges beneath the forest canopy, the mood transforms from one of overcast foreboding to one of hope and renewal. This contrast between shadow and illumination reflects the idea that transformation can reveal beauty, optimism, and new possibilities even in moments that seem bleak or uncertain.
About the exhibition:
The exhibition will be on display between the 1st - 25th of August. Visit The Horton’s Summer Exhibition this August, and celebrate creativity from all over the county.
Enjoy viewing an eclectic mix of work by established artists alongside emerging talent and first-time exhibitors, in the stunning grade-II listed Atrium gallery space. Work will be exhibited by artists from across Surrey who have been selected by a judging panel on the theme Transformation. This year’s Summer Exhibition theme highlights The Horton’s history as a space that has transformed its purpose several times over the last century – from asylum chapel and music therapy centre to abandoned listed building and now a vibrant cultural venue.
